What is the height of your bathroom?
Hi 🙂 What height is your bathroom? Our bathroom height is 2.62 m and the tiles chosen are 120x60. My husband wants to install a suspended ceiling in the bathroom and suggested lowering the room height to 2.40 m. That would let us avoid cutting the tiles, but it seems too low to me. I was thinking about a height of 2.50 m, but then the cut would have to be at the bottom or the top. How can this be solved smartly so it looks good?

·1 year agoHi! 🙂 We have a very similar bathroom height and we dealt with this too. A height of 2.40 m is already quite low, especially if the room isn’t big – it can give a slightly overwhelming feeling. Many people leave about 2.50 m so it feels more spacious, even if that means trimming the tiles.
The trimming can be cleverly hidden – e.g. at the top, where it’s less noticeable. Sometimes changing the tile layout helps too (e.g. vertical vs horizontal) or using a decorative element or finishing strip. Take a look at the inspiration here: https://www.tubadzin.pl/lazienka – there are plenty of examples of how 120x60 tiles look good in different layouts and heights. Maybe something will catch your eye and help you make a decision
