Import from the UK to Poland Poczta Polska
Summary: A participant inquired about importing from the UK to Poland using Poczta Polska, but no further details or responses were provided.
Hello
Once again I have a problem with our beloved PP.
I recently bought a watch at a UK auction for around 400 GBP
The sender shipped the mentioned item via Royal Mail and unfortunately our PP got its hands on this parcel.
Of course, I received a notice of the arrival of the above-mentioned parcel with a request for information about what the contents of the parcel are and its value.
I sent that information.
In response, our PP informed me that they cannot present this goods for customs clearance and that I should find my own agent to submit the relevant documents.
It's a bit annoying, since PP gets its hands on the parcel it should show a bit of interest if it doesn't want to handle the clearance and at least point me to some agency.
I'm a novice when it comes to shopping and help with this first such purchase would be needed.
Such terse responses from PP do not improve its image, which is not the best anyway.
Isn't the whole point of this e-commerce thing that PP is only interested in simple clearances like moving papers from one desk to another and collecting its statutory 8.50 zł, and if something is more complicated then it dumps the formalities onto the recipient of the parcel.
I will be grateful for any advice.
Best regards
Rafał

·2 years agoUnfortunately, watches are on the so-called "negative list" and since July 1, 2021, the Post Office has not been able to clear them.
