eBay International Shipping (EIS) - how to obtain the SAD customs document after customs clearance of goods?
Summary: The discussion concerns obtaining the SAD customs document after goods have been cleared through eBay International Shipping (EIS). Participants are looking for information about procedures related to customs documentation and sharing their experiences with the process.
I bought an item from a seller in the USA who ships his goods using eBay International Shipping (EIS) through his business account.
In EIS, it says:
"eBay handles the international shipping process, including customs formalities and fees"
To record VAT and be able to resell the item through my company, I need to obtain the SAD customs document after customs clearance has taken place. In normal cases (shipping not through EIS), I receive information from the customs office that the package is going through clearance, and I use the help of a customs agent who handles preparing the documentation for the customs office, after which I receive the customs document (SAD).
How can I obtain the SAD document if eBay is the one "handling the formalities"?

·1 year agoAlthough eBay handles customs fees, the shipment goes through customs clearance at the border, and that’s where you need to ask for the documents. For example, it happens that VAT is charged again at the border even though eBay has already calculated it, and then it is documented. The customs office should issue a document confirming the clearance
