What should I do if I haven't received the product or a refund and eBay won't help me?
Summary: werbung_und_zelte started a discussion about not receiving the product and getting a refund, with which Ebay does not want to help. No further details or solutions were provided in the discussion by other participants.
I bought a product in America, the product never reached me, I paid over 800 euros. eBay is washing its hands of it, telling me to contact the seller. The seller does not respond to my inquiries, I paid for the product with PayPal and I also can't get my money back. After many attempts and phone calls to DHL I received a message that my package had returned to the seller, but what good is that if my money did not come back to me. I will probably have to take the matter to a legal adviser. It seems to me that if eBay takes on mediation in sales, it should take on the risk and in such a case refund the money and block the seller, meanwhile the seller is doing well and still trading, while I as the customer have been cheated out of 800 euros and now privately have to fight for my rights, this is not fair. I have a question: has anyone had such a situation, and if so, how did you deal with it?

·3 years agoFile a chargeback claim. If you paid with a credit card, you’re in the clear, because the claim will automatically be accepted as justified. If you paid with a debit card, things get a bit more complicated, because you need to attach evidence to the claim that eBay screwed you over and that you tried to resolve the problem with the Buyer. The money is 100℅ recoverable, provided that you explain to the support agent that you want to make the claim with the card issuer (VISA or MasterCard) because you did not receive the purchased product.

·3 years agoAppeal it, write to eBay. They have proof that the return was delivered, and that’s all they need to issue the refund.
As a seller, I’ve experienced it. I received the return and missed it, so eBay took the money from my bank account and issued the refund, and assigned me some penalty points. It’s strange that that didn’t happen in your case.
