Hello, is it possible for me to start selling items via dropshipping in the United Kingdom while running an unregistered business from Poland? Am I right in understanding that if I find wholesalers in the UK and sell only on eBay, only to non-business customers, then I don't have to register for VAT in the UK, because eBay will remit it for me? I would also avoid things like having an EORI number for imports, which is only issued to businesses. I just want to learn a bit first and then set up an LTD company. For now, I'm only interested in whether this is possible

OP2 years agoJust one small question, because I found out that you can use tools like ZIK, which gives me a list of products that should sell well, and there I can set deliveries only from Amazon, but I don't know which countries that delivery would be from and whether you can choose only one delivery country. I read that for products up to 135 pounds, they will also be subject to tax at the point of sale. Does that mean that if I choose the delivery time appropriately, so that it arrives even from another country, I can also list products from abroad under 135 pounds without any problems?

Drop shipping is against eBay rules because they require you to be in possession of the items you sell, but no one will find out if you don't advertise it. List an auction, but remember, it's important to adjust the delivery time depending on the location of the wholesaler. It would be undesirable for you to receive complaints from buyers in the form of opening a dispute on eBay for not delivering the item within the promised time. Look at what the Chinese do: they set the delivery time to a month or two. Buyers cannot open a dispute until the delivery date has passed. I use dropshipping, but as one of the branches of my eBay business. It is a risky business because you have no influence over delivery time or item quality. Remember never to inform eBay that you sell using this system. They may block your account. Either way, to protect yourself, right now create two eBay accounts that you can use if there is a problem with this original one. I can advise via DM.
Don't worry about taxes. eBay handles that 100%. They will add the tax to the buyer depending on their shipping address. You have nothing to do with it and no influence over it. You do not need to register anywhere. If your sales exceed a certain threshold (it is different in each country of residence), eBay will notify the tax office. Then you will ask an accountant to include it in the annual tax return. But only if eBay reports it. Don't volunteer to report it (although you can) because why would you voluntarily support government spending that is not always in line with your will.
